Timber is a huge part of the Oregon Economy. Wood growing, managing, harvesting and milling account for over 60,000 above average paying jobs without even considering downstream positions like production, construction, etc.


At least 3.8 Billion Board Feet of wood is harvested from Oregon each year, making it the number one producer of softwood timber.


Oregon was home to the first mill(DR Johnson Wood Innovations) in the United States to manufacture structurally certified Cross Laminated Timber.
